Rod has original Winchester label, & tan / pongee wraps, used during the 1919-1924 EW Edwards period at Winchester. All original components, partial signature wraps & all tip section wraps were preserved in restoration.
Comparison w/ numbered 6150 Winchester rod verifies identical hand-welted ferrules, size 10/64 & 15/64.
Models 6150 (& 6135) rods are described as 'Trout Action' in Winchester catalogs, with 10/15 ferrules; companion models 6151 & 6136 are described as 'Dry Fly Action', & are fitted w/ larger 10/16 ferrules.
This Winchester example exhibits v. dark cane, contrasting sharply w/ numbered 6150 rod w/ its v. light blonde cane.
